Smoke and mirrors. The Icp and the recruitment of neo-fascist (1949-1953)

Abstract

This essay studies the Icp’s attempt to recruit young neo-fascists. Likewise, it analyses the contacts that took place between the leaderships of the Icp and the Ism through the documentation of the Italian authorities after the Second World War. Through the documents of the Ministry of the Interior, an initial attempt at compromise is reconstructed between some of the revolutionary fringes of both camps, which endeavoured to discreetly carry on these conversations.
