The Palestinian galaxy and the detachment of Abu Nidal in Italian intelligence documents

Abstract

This essay aims at highlighting the evolution of Palestinian terrorist organisations, their establishment and the emergence within them of the figure of Abu Nidal. Alongside the study of the Arab-Palestinian component, the study of the responses of the various European states to the attacks suffered at the hands of the terrorist organisations is equally relevant. They acted by means of secret agreements, known as “lodi”, reached through their secret agents and aimed at neutralising the danger of becoming targets. In this article, the role of the Italian secret services is analysed.
