«Avanguardia Europea». The conception of Europe for Italian National-socialism (1944-1945)

Abstract

In the vast historiography on fascism and nazism, there are few comparative studies regarding the activity deployed in Germany, and in the latter’s allied States, for the elaboration of a project of European integration after the conflict was over. This paper does not aim to fill that gap, but to highlight and bring to light some aspects of national-socialist Europeanist ideology in relation to Fascist ideology, from an analysis of the production of the periodical, «Avanguardia Europea», which during the experience of the Italian social republic (Isr) devoted a great deal of attention to this issue.
